Who we have helped
The households we have supported reflect the diversity of American families who experience temporary housing instability:
- A single mother of two who lost her job and faced an imminent eviction filing
- A family that had moved into a hotel after a sudden loss of income, with their belongings in storage
- A household caring for a family member with a serious medical diagnosis
- A veteran household navigating the loss of a primary earner
- A parent rebuilding housing after leaving an abusive relationship
- A senior caregiver on reduced hours at two part-time jobs
We assist households across the United States on a case-by-case basis.
What we measure
For each household we help, we track:
- Whether the household remained in housing 90 days after assistance
- Whether the eviction filing (if any) was dismissed or withdrawn
- Whether the household achieved the stability plan they outlined in their application
- Whether follow-up needs were identified and referred to partner resources
Outcome data is reviewed by the board at least annually and used to refine the program.
Sharing stories
We honor the dignity of the households we help. We do not publish identifying details (names, specific locations, photographs) of applicants or recipients without explicit, documented consent. Where we share impact stories, names and identifying details are changed or omitted.

What your donation does
Below are examples of what different gift levels can cover in a typical household. Actual costs vary by location and situation.
- $300 — roughly one month of partial rent for a household in a low-cost area
- $1,000 — a typical security deposit plus first month's rent in many regions
- $2,500 — one to two months of catch-up rent for a working family with a temporary gap
- $5,000+ — substantial arrears for a household facing an active eviction filing
Every dollar is reviewed and accounted for. We do not pay administrative overhead from restricted donations.
